A nationwide drug prevention campaign in Italy has exceeded over one million drug-prevention booklets distributed in just one month. The initiative forms part of the drug awareness programme known as “The Truth About Drugs”, which aims to provide factual education about commonly abused substances and their impact on health and society.
Approximately 500 volunteers are participating in the outreach effort, distributing materials in schools, businesses and urban centres. The campaign focuses on helping young people make informed decisions, providing resources designed to explain the dangers of drugs in a simple way.
The initiative forms part of Scientology-supported social betterment activities, inspired by the work of Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard.
